Considering the short notice and the absence of last minute reminders by post we did well with a turnout of up to 40 members.

 

New President elected - Maggie Fitzgerald.

 

Inter alia – this AGM, led by last year’s President, concentrated on the DFI proposed health check from last year which we completed and we intend to implement their advice this year.

Membership – we see the inclusion of hearing people who are affected by family members with hearing loss to be acceptable as bona fide members of the IHHA.

The need to be more geographically spread was recorded. We are in the process of widening our field, not necessarily as IHHA, but more towards DeafHear’s regional offices which we hope will promote the need for our social inclusion through non-threatening HOH activities.
