One in every six people in Ireland – over 700,000 people - suffer from some form of hearing loss.

For people aged 60 and over this figure rises to one in three!

Despite the fact that hearing loss impacts so much on our lives, most people wait, on average, for ten years from the time they realise they have a hearing problem until they actually do something about it.

Hearing Loss Ireland is a voluntary organisation for people with a hearing loss who want to support, and be supported by, others with a similar condition.

The purpose of this website is to provide comprehensive information on hearing loss – how to identify it, how to deal with it and how to live life to the full in spite of it.
